NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election of the Walden Fire District will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Walden Fire District Social Hall at 230 Old Orange Avenue, Walden, New York 12586 for the purposes of voting on the following proposition: 1) Shall the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners pursuant to Town Law §176(23), which declared that the Fire District’s 2007 KME Pumper Fire Truck is surplus with an estimated value in excess of one-hundred-thousand dollars ($100,000), no longer necessary for any Fire District uses or purposes and authorizing the sale of said apparatus under terms acceptable to the Board of Fire Commissioners, be approved? Only those persons who are residents of the Walden Fire District on or before May 27, 2025 and who are registered to vote with the Orange County Board of Elections on or before June 2, 2025 shall be eligible to vote in this Special Election.
