The Walden Fire Dept. would like to thank our local Bruderhof Communities at Fox Hill, as they donated all the materials, expertise, and time to build this beautiful table for our members to use at our remodeled fire house. For years to come this table will be a focal point in our members room, where we relax when not on alarms or training. This is where stories, lessons, and history will be passed down from the old to the new. The center of the table holds our current department patch while the outer edge is lined with the names of the eight fire service organizations that have served our community. We chose this layout so that everyday we are reminded of our history, because that patch in the middle would not be there today without the contributions of those eight organizations and thier members. They range from the original Walden Fire Incorporation which dates back to the 1830's to the youngest of the eight, the 119 year old Col. Bradley Hose Company.
