PROPOSITION NUMBER 1

Shall the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners pursuant to Town Law §176(23), which declared that the Fire District’s 2007 KME Pumper Fire Truck is surplus with an estimated value in excess of one-hundred-thousand dollars ($100,000), no longer necessary for any Fire District uses or purposes and authorizing the sale of said apparatus under terms acceptable to the Board of Fire Commissioners, be approved?

Please Take Notice: The Walden Fire District Board of Fire Commissioner monthly meeting has been rescheduled to April 23,2025 at 6pm.

Walden Fire District

After consultation with the Orange County Department of Health, all gatherings in the Walden Fire District Social Hall with 100 or more expected participants are cancelled through April 17th. All gatherings of elderly people are cancelled during that time as well. These changes are effective immediately.
Any planned gatherings with less than 100 people may proceed as scheduled.
If an event plans to cancel, they can do so without penalty provided they give 14 days notice to the Social Hall Director.

The members of the Walden Fire Department had the opportunity to relax a bit and participated in a Softball Tournament this weekend. The members had fun and in fact even brought home a plaque for “The First Team Eliminated”.

At the end of the day what matters is that fun was had, and now we can get back to protecting the District!
